Our Philosophy

McGeorge Academy is an outcome-driven independent school committed to academic excellence based on our motto: "Pone propositum. Assequere metas tuas." (Set a goal. Achieve your targets).

It’s our belief that all children are created by God to be useful to our society and all children will achieve their goals in the long run. It’s, therefore, extremely important for your children to set a goal at a young age and specific targets for each semester. Our experienced teachers and administrative staff work together with each student and their parents to set the goal and the targets of each semester as well as the measures and steps to achieve the targets. Both teachers and the students in question will be assessed on the achievement of the students’ targets.

Our educational goal at McGeorge Academy is to maintain a balance between coursework, home assignments, and the specific interests of students.  Our methods recognize developmental readiness and allows each child to progress at their own individual pace. We also build into our curriculum enrichment activities such as foreign language, music, art and field trips.

At McGeorge Academy, we believe that all play and no work will make Jack a dull boy. Practice makes perfect. While we’ll train your children to be hard-working students with independent thinking, we’ll make your children practice, practice, and practice so as to acquire the skills for their future success. We believe in education and not indoctrination and all students are different one from another. The teaching methods will be finetuned to suit each student because there is no “one size for all” in our school education. Teacher-parent interaction is of uttermost importance in our teaching and management. And our goal is to see that all our students achieve their respective goals.

Note:

Though, as an independent school, all students are expected to meet our admission requirements, we pledge to admit students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs (if any), and athletic or other school-administered programs.
